A family mourning the loss of their teenage daughter, a talented dancer, expressed that she brought comfort and happiness to all she encountered. Freya MacLean, aged 19, tragically passed away at the Falls of Falloch near Stirling after an incident in the water around 10.45pm on Friday.

Her body was found the following day at 11.45am. Freya, a student of primary education at Glasgow University, was described by her parents, Samantha and Ruaraidh, as a cherished individual loved by many.

Known for her kindness and warm personality, Freya’s family emphasized her impact on those around her. Her infectious laughter, caring nature, and unwavering support were highlighted as qualities that touched the lives of others.

Despite the brevity of her time on earth, Freya’s legacy of love and compassion will endure. Her family requested privacy during this difficult time while acknowledging the outpouring of support from friends and the public.

Police Scotland noted that her death is under investigation but lacks suspicious circumstances. In response to her passing, a GoFundMe campaign was launched by JC Dance and Cheer Academy, raising nearly £2,000 to assist Freya’s family with unexpected expenses.

Organizers of the campaign remembered Freya as a vibrant and supportive individual who brightened the lives of many. Her joyful spirit, kindness, and sense of humor were highlighted as qualities that will be deeply missed.

As the community mourns her loss, tributes continue to pour in, celebrating Freya’s vibrant personality and the positive impact she had on those around her.
