A driver is missing, and six individuals sustained injuries following a seven-truck collision that culminated in a significant explosion. The incident occurred when two trucks collided on the Hume Highway in Australia, close to Breadalbane in New South Wales [NSW], around 5 am local time on Tuesday, June 30. Subsequently, these two heavy goods vehicles crashed into five other trucks at a roadside stop, leading to a massive explosion. The cargo in each truck created conditions conducive to a powerful blast and subsequent fire. According to a spokesperson from NSW Fire and Rescue, one of the trucks was carrying ‘eight tonnes of butane cans,’ while another was transporting resin, a third contained memory foam, and a fourth was loaded with alcohol, intensifying the ensuing fire and explosions. This remains a developing story with more updates expected.
