“UK Set to Sizzle: Early Summer Heat Wave Incoming”

Britain is preparing for a new wave of early summer heat, as the latest Met Office weather maps indicate temperatures in the high 20s for parts of England and Wales later this week. London and surrounding areas could experience a scorching 28C by 4pm on Friday, with much of southern and central England enjoying temperatures above 20C.

The Met Office temperature maps for June 19 show the warmest conditions concentrated in southeast England, while Scotland and Northern Ireland are expected to remain cooler. By 7pm, London is still forecasted to be at 27C.

Manchester is expected to reach 21C, with Cardiff slightly behind at 20C. However, the warm weather is not expected to last, as rainfall is predicted to move into southwestern regions of the UK on June 19. Showers and rain are forecasted to spread northeastward, bringing cooler conditions and dampening the warmth.

The most intense rainfall is anticipated to affect parts of the southwest and the Irish Sea coast. As the rain arrives, temperatures are likely to drop significantly, although some eastern and southeastern areas may remain warm. Maximum temperatures are expected to peak around 26C on June 20.

The Met Office’s forecast for Wednesday through Friday mentions rain clearing to sunshine and showers on Wednesday, with further rain in the northwest on Thursday and Friday. The southeast is expected to be mostly dry, turning very warm and humid.

Looking ahead to June 19 to June 28, the Met Office suggests the possibility of hot and humid weather in parts of south and southeast Britain, with a chance of thunderstorms. The weather may become more settled towards the latter part of June, with temperatures likely to stay above average. The forecast cautions that weather predictions beyond five days are subject to atmospheric changes that could impact future conditions.

Hottest UK areas at 4pm on June 19:
– London: 28C
– Manchester: 22C
– Cardiff: 21C
– Aberdeen: 19C
– Plymouth: 18C
– Glasgow: 18C
– Belfast: 18C
– Stornoway: 15C
