A nine-year-old girl identified as Minnie Merriman has passed away following an incident in Arbroath. The young student was discovered with severe injuries at the Elliot Industrial Estate shortly after midnight on Monday. Despite urgent medical attention at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, she succumbed to her injuries upon arrival.
Following the incident, three other individuals were hospitalized but were later discharged. Law enforcement authorities have apprehended and charged a 35-year-old man in connection with the tragic event. Reports from the Daily Record indicate that the man, who is acquainted with Minnie, is scheduled to appear in court today.
According to the police, Minnie and the arrested individual had a prior relationship. The family of the deceased, originally from West Yorkshire and camping in the vicinity, expressed profound sorrow at the loss of their cherished Minnie Moo and requested privacy during this challenging period.
