A tragic discovery was made during the search for two missing men near a Haven holiday park in Wales. Authorities were alerted to the finding of a body on a beach in Aberystwyth at approximately 12.30pm on July 26.
The deceased individual has been identified as Connor Parfitt, one of the men who went missing near a beach off Hafan-Y-Mor Holiday Park in Pwllheli on Tuesday evening. Connor’s family and the coroner have been notified.
The search continues for the second man, Simon Wilson, as he remains unaccounted for. North Wales Police are providing ongoing support to his family. Concerns were raised about the whereabouts of the pair on July 21, as they were believed to have been heading to the beach with inflatable kayaks.
Coastguards and the RNLI initiated a significant search operation, urging witnesses to come forward with any information regarding Simon and Connor. Chief Inspector Stephen Pawson expressed condolences to both families during this challenging period, acknowledging the efforts of all involved in the search operations.
