A man has been discovered deceased, and three individuals have been swiftly taken to the hospital due to suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at a residence.
Emergency responders hurried to a residence in Mount Gambier, located in the southern region of Australia, where authorities found four occupants unconscious inside the dwelling just prior to 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 11.
A statement from the police indicated: “A report is being prepared for the Coroner by the police following an incident at Mount Gambier earlier today. Shortly before 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, emergency services were summoned to a home on Penola Road after discovering four occupants unconscious within the premises.
“Regrettably, a 55-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the site. The three other occupants were transported to the hospital for treatment due to suspected carbon monoxide exposure. The authorities in Limestone Coast are conducting an investigation, and currently, foul play is not suspected.”
