Three individuals have been taken into custody following the tragic death of a two-year-old girl in Arkansas due to a dog attack.
Earnest Jackson, aged 54, Christina Hart, aged 41, and MaKayla Jackson, aged 21, have been apprehended and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor in relation to the fatal incident, as stated in a police report from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. Their legal representation status and plea entries are currently undisclosed.
Law enforcement responded to the incident on March 28 after a report of an animal attack involving the toddler. According to officials, a loose dog from a neighbor’s property dragged the child into nearby woods, resulting in her tragic demise at the scene.
In an official statement, the police detailed the events of March 28, 2026, mentioning that arrests have been made following a thorough investigation by the PCSO Criminal Investigations Division. The detained individuals, MaKayla Jackson, Earnest Jackson, and Christina Hart, have been charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. The dog allegedly involved in the attack is under the care of the Pulaski County Animal Control Division, while the suspects are currently detained at the Regional Detention Facility.
