A group of thieves were caught on camera pulling a cash machine with a vehicle in Teddington, southwest London. The incident, which involved the attempted use of a hammer to break into the machine, was filmed by a witness early on a Wednesday morning. The footage shows one man in dark clothing using a hammer while another drives a car onto the pavement near the ATM. They then connect cables to the machine before speeding off with it, causing sparks to fly as the machine is ripped from its position.
Following the theft, one of the men remained at the scene with a hammer in hand. A local resident expressed surprise at the incident, mistaking the scene for a simple collision with the machine lying on its side. Despite the dramatic event, no arrests have been made yet. However, the police have recovered an abandoned vehicle believed to be linked to the crime.
The Metropolitan Police spokesperson stated that the theft occurred outside a shop on Kingston Road in Teddington. The authorities are actively investigating the incident and are seeking to identify the four individuals involved.
