The incident occurred on Sunday evening at Llyn Geirionydd, a 45-acre lake situated in the lower regions of the Carneddau mountains within Snowdonia, Wales.
The alarm was raised at about 7:10 pm, prompting emergency services, including North Wales Police, to respond to the scene. Despite exhaustive search efforts conducted overnight, the man remains unaccounted for, and his family has been informed of the situation.

North Wales Police has advised the public to refrain from approaching the lake during the ongoing search efforts. They emphasized that the immediate family has been notified and is receiving support, urging individuals who were present at the lake on the previous evening and have not yet spoken to the police to come forward.
