A man from Scotland tragically lost his life in a shooting incident on Canouan island in St Vincent and the Grenadines. Daniel Vettrino, a resident of Dysart in Fife, was fatally shot on Wednesday night, prompting his family to express their grief through a heartfelt tribute.

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) responded to the incident at Gym Hill around 11:30 pm and confirmed Mr. Vettrino’s death. His brother, Robson Vettrino Kolberg, honored his memory in a Facebook post, describing him as a kind-hearted individual who always wished for the success and happiness of those around him.

Mr. Vettrino Kolberg fondly recalled his brother’s impact on people from Fife to various parts of the world, highlighting his unique qualities and humorous traits, including his remarkable ability to outdrink anyone. The family expressed deep sorrow over the loss and appreciated the outpouring of love and support they have received.

The RSVGPF issued a statement detailing the discovery of Daniel Vettrino, a 37-year-old technical services manager, with multiple gunshot wounds. An investigation is underway, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

The Foreign Office confirmed its assistance to the family of the British man who passed away in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
