Reports indicate that Angel and her 19-year-old partner traveled to Greenway Avenue in Toledo, Ohio, to meet someone they had met online through Snapchat. During the encounter, a man in black attire approached their vehicle and attempted to rob them at gunpoint.
The assailant allegedly aimed a firearm at the boyfriend, demanding money. A struggle ensued, with the boyfriend recounting his efforts to deflect the weapon during the altercation. Unfortunately, the gun discharged, striking Angel and causing significant damage.
The bullet narrowly missed her unborn child but inflicted severe harm on Angel, shattering her arm, piercing her chest, and resulting in a critical spinal injury that rendered her paralyzed from the waist down. The gunshot also induced premature labor at 26 weeks of gestation.
