In a newly released video by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), convicted murderer Vickram Digwa was captured instructing his mother, Kiran Kaur, to remove the knife used in the fatal stabbing of Henry Nowak. Kaur, aged 53, was recently sentenced to three years in prison for aiding Digwa after the incident occurred on December 3, 2025.
The footage shows Digwa speaking in Punjabi to his mother, asking her to take away the weapon while filming on his phone. A transcript from the CPS revealed Digwa instructing Kaur to “Take this,” referring to the knife.
During sentencing on July 17, Judge William Mousley KC remarked that Kaur, by complying with Digwa’s request to remove the murder weapon, displayed a lack of responsibility as a parent. The judge criticized Kaur for concealing the weapon among her son’s collection of ceremonial and other weapons, aiding in the cover-up of the crime.
Following Kaur’s sentencing, Mr. Nowak’s family issued a statement vowing to pursue justice for Henry and urging thorough investigations into the events of last December. Digwa, 23, was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 21 years on June 1 for the murder of the 18-year-old finance student, falsely claiming racial abuse as a motive.
The family of the victim expressed their determination to seek the truth and reforms in the justice system to honor the memory of their lost loved one.
