“Mother of Missing Ben Needham Challenges Police Theory”

Kerry Needham, the mother of Ben Needham who went missing on the Greek island of Kos 35 years ago, recently visited the farmhouse where her son disappeared. After this visit, Kerry expressed her strong belief that Ben was abducted, refuting the police theory that he died in a digger accident at the site. She pointed out inconsistencies in the police theory, highlighting details such as the impracticality of Ben walking in hot weather with sandals and his aversion to prickly grass.

Despite two searches conducted by South Yorkshire Police, no evidence supporting the accident theory has been found. Kerry emphasized the lack of conclusive evidence, including the discovery of a toy car with decomposed blood that did not match Ben’s DNA. Additionally, she dismissed the idea that Konstantinos Barkas, the digger driver who passed away in 2015, was responsible for Ben’s disappearance, stating that his widow denied any involvement.

Kerry’s determination to find answers has led her to seek the assistance of the British government, urging them to intervene in the case and collaborate with the Greek authorities. She recently met with the Minister for Europe, expressing hope that the British government will actively support her quest for the truth. Kerry’s efforts include a documentary on Ben’s story, set to air on Disney Plus, with the aim of raising awareness, especially in the United States where she fears Ben may have been trafficked.

Reflecting on her emotional journey and the challenges she has faced over the years, Kerry remains resolute in her pursuit of answers. She expressed gratitude for the support received from South Yorkshire’s Mayor Oliver Coppard, who has pledged to assist her in seeking justice for Ben. With renewed hope and determination, Kerry continues to advocate for her son, appealing to the public to come forward with any information that may shed light on Ben’s disappearance.
