Meghan Markle to Reunite with Harry, Kids in UK

Meghan Markle is set to bring her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK this week to reunite with Prince Harry. However, it is reported that Meghan, aged 44, and the kids will not be involved in any public appearances during their stay, despite Prince Harry’s busy schedule promoting the Invictus Games.

While Prince Harry is expected to attend a public event in Birmingham on Friday, Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet are anticipated to join him only for private family gatherings, away from the public eye. This visit opens up the opportunity for King Charles to have a heartfelt reunion with his grandchildren, whom he has not seen since 2022.

Relations between King Charles and his estranged younger son, Harry, have been strained since Harry and Meghan decided to step back from their royal duties in 2020. The Mirror exclusively reported that the King has instructed senior aides to engage in ongoing discussions with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to arrange a meeting during his busy schedule, likely on Friday or Saturday, as the Sussexes are expected to return to California on Sunday.

A royal insider revealed, “The King is eager to spend time with his grandchildren, and if there is a way to make it happen, he will do so.” Recent one-on-one conversations between the King and Harry have been described as “hopeful” by sources.

The family is expected to stay at Althorp House, the childhood home of Princess Diana and her burial place, in West Northamptonshire, conveniently located for family engagements in Birmingham and London.

Notably, the Duchess of Sussex will not be participating in any public events during her UK visit, contrary to initial plans. Instead, Meghan, along with Archie and Lilibet, will attend private family events away from the public eye. Harry arrived in the UK on Monday and has been fulfilling his duties, including a touching visit to a hospital in Birmingham.

During his visit, Harry shared insights about Archie, mentioning his son’s love for Lego. The Duke of Sussex referred to Archie as a “master builder,” showcasing his parental pride. Additionally, Prince Harry interacted with patients at the hospital, including a heartwarming moment with a 12-year-old boy and discussions about the ongoing World Cup.

As Harry fulfills his engagements in the UK, the King and other royals, like Queen Camilla and Prince William, have been carrying out their own activities, with the hope of a significant family reunion in the coming days. King Charles and Queen Camilla were recently seen at London Zoo, participating in conservation efforts and engaging with the zoo’s veterinarian team.

Prince William, on the other hand, expressed confidence in England’s World Cup chances during his visit to Hastings, East Sussex, engaging with local communities and showcasing his skills at a seaside golf course. The royal family’s diverse engagements highlight their commitment to public service and community interaction.
