The monarch expressed a sentiment of turning disappointment into celebration by enjoying a beer after England’s loss to Argentina. During a visit to a brewery in Dorset, King Charles was guided on pouring a pint by the head brewer, Toby Heasman. With Queen Camilla’s assistance, Charles humorously struggled to fill the glass completely, prompting laughter from those present.
Later, the royal couple commemorated the brewery’s 250th anniversary and met with the family behind its operation, spanning nine generations. Additionally, they engaged with representatives from Teddy Rocks, a music festival sponsored by the brewery, benefiting children’s cancer charities.
At the event, the head brewer presented the King with a special Coronation Ale. Meanwhile, the Queen interacted with apprentice chefs and explored the brewery’s culinary apprentice program. The royal pair also unveiled a plaque marking the brewery’s founding by Charles Hall in 1977.
Subsequently, the Queen was presented with flowers by young family members as they departed, before proceeding to the historic Corn Exchange in Blandford Forum. There, they toured stalls showcasing various charities from the region. The day concluded with a visit to the renovated Corn Exchange, highlighting the restoration of the historic building.
