An elderly man tragically lost his life after being trampled by cattle while visiting the National Trust site known as Felbrigg Hall, near Cromer in North Norfolk. The incident occurred just before midday yesterday, prompting emergency services to respond. Despite their efforts, the man in his 70s passed away at the scene.
Norfolk Constabulary confirmed that the man’s next of kin had been notified, and an investigation is underway in collaboration with the Health and Safety Executive. A National Trust spokesperson expressed deep sorrow over the incident, stating that despite paramedics’ attempts, the individual succumbed to their injuries on-site. As a result, Felbrigg Hall, Garden, and Estate have been closed following the tragic event.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is also involved in the investigation, working alongside local authorities to determine the circumstances of the incident. HSE’s primary role is to regulate and mitigate risks related to work activities, ensuring the safety of individuals from potential harm or accidents.
