A tragic accident in Glenagle, Queensland, Australia, left a young child with life-threatening injuries and two other individuals injured, according to authorities. The incident occurred at a major junction where two cars collided on Monday afternoon. Emergency services responded promptly to the scene.

The collision involved four individuals, with the child sustaining critical injuries and being airlifted to a hospital. Additionally, a 56-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl were also taken to the hospital, but their injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. Fortunately, a 52-year-old man involved in the crash did not suffer any physical harm.

Reports indicate that the child, described as being of primary school age, was one of the passengers in the vehicle airlifted to the hospital. The woman in her fifties was taken to PA Hospital in Brisbane, while the 13-year-old was transported to Logan Hospital. The teenager is reported to be in a stable condition.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision, with initial findings suggesting that a Subaru Impreza traveling southbound collided with a Nissan Qashqai driven by the woman from Gleneagle. The Subaru driver, a man from Beaudesert, was also involved in the incident.

The Mount Lindesay Highway, a crucial route in Australia’s national highway network, was temporarily closed in both directions at the intersection following the collision. CCTV images from the scene captured the aftermath, showing a significant emergency service presence and debris scattered on the road.
