“Captured: Alligator Responsible for Fatal Attack in Florida”

An alligator that brutally attacked a woman in front of her partner has been captured after a frantic search by authorities. Brittany Clark, 31, lost both her arms in the vicious assault by the 13-foot creature on June 29 while swimming in a river at Little Big Econ State Forest in Florida. She was tragically killed in a “death roll” maneuver while in the water with her boyfriend, Chance Allison, and their roommate.

Authorities confirmed the capture of the large alligator responsible for the horrific attack. Trappers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC) successfully caught two alligators, with DNA tests and bite mark analysis linking the larger one to Ms. Clark.

During the attack, the alligator dragged her underwater, prompting Mr. Allison to desperately intervene to save her from further harm. The Orange County Medical Examiner’s Office report detailed how the alligator clamped down on Ms. Clark’s arms during the struggle, causing severe injuries.

Despite the heroic efforts of Mr. Allison and quick emergency response, Ms. Clark succumbed to her injuries in the hospital. She has been fondly remembered by her family as an extraordinary individual. In her final moments, she entrusted her beloved German Shepherd, Hokie, to Mr. Allison, emphasizing her love and care for her pet.
