Cairo Shaken by 5.9 Magnitude Earthquake

An earthquake of magnitude 5.9 jolted the ancient city of Cairo, waking up residents in the middle of the night. The epicenter of the quake was in Suez, just 25 miles away from the city center. The German Research Centre for Geosciences later revised the magnitude to 5.4, with the quake occurring at a depth of six miles. Terrified locals described buildings shaking in an unusual manner, seeking protection through prayers. More updates on the situation are expected.
