Touching accolades pour in for the late Kevin Gahan, described as a genuine gentleman and an inspirational educator who recently passed away. Hailing from Enniscorthy in Co Wexford, Gahan’s family announced his tragic demise on May 19 through RIP.ie. He is deeply mourned by his family, including his wife Elaine Dunne, parents Tom and Kath, siblings Thomas and Elaine, brother-in-law Richie Murphy, sisters-in-law Mairead, Clodagh, and Michelle, as well as his extended family, friends, colleagues, and students at Gorey Community School, where he dedicated himself to teaching science, physics, and biology.
Having tied the knot with Elaine last July, Mr. Gahan was a highly esteemed teacher at Gorey Community School for many years. Former colleagues have paid tribute to his dedication, describing him as a professional who inspired both students and staff members alike. One heartfelt message praised his impact as a colleague and teacher, expressing sympathy to his wife and families.
Further tributes highlighted Gahan’s kindness, wisdom, and passion for teaching, emphasizing the positive influence he had on students and colleagues.
