He is deeply mourned by his family, including his wife Elaine Dunne, parents Tom and Kath, siblings Thomas and Elaine, brother-in-law Richie Murphy, sisters-in-law Mairead, Clodagh, and Michelle, as well as his extended family, friends, colleagues, and students at Gorey Community School, where he dedicated himself to teaching science, physics, and biology.
Having tied the knot with Elaine last July, Mr. Gahan was a highly esteemed teacher at Gorey Community School for many years. Former colleagues have paid tribute to his dedication, describing him as a professional who inspired both students and staff members alike. One heartfelt message praised his impact as a colleague and teacher, expressing sympathy to his wife and families.
