A young boy sustained injuries when fragments of glass were reportedly attached to a slide in a local park in Cardiff. The boy’s mother disclosed that his clothes were torn, and he suffered a minor cut during the incident that took place between 2pm and 4pm. The mother, who chose to remain anonymous, mentioned that her son was unaware of the glass pieces on the slide while playing with his family members.
According to the mother, the boy, upset by the incident, expressed his reluctance to revisit the same play area. His ripped shorts and a minor cut on his body added to his distress. The mother expressed her anger and disappointment, stating that the park should have been a safe place for children to play. She condemned the act of deliberately placing glass on the slide, causing harm to her child and instilling fear in him.
Following the incident, the mother reported the matter to the police and attempted to reach out to the local council. Subsequently, a warning sign was installed on the slide cautioning park users against using glass on it. South Wales Police confirmed receiving a report about the incident, wherein a child suffered minor injuries and clothing damage due to the glass fragments on the slide. Investigations into the matter are currently ongoing.
