“Man Escapes Custody During Transport to Court in Liverpool”

Police are on the lookout for an escaped individual who fled from a prison transport van while en route to court. The wanted man, identified as 22-year-old Stephen Grzyb from the West Derby/Dovecot area of Liverpool, managed to evade custody as he was being transferred by GEOAmey from Belle Vale custody suite to Liverpool Magistrates Court in the city center.

Grzyb made his escape upon the van’s arrival outside the court at approximately 10 am, running along Red Cross Street towards The Strand. He was en route to the court for charges related to a domestic burglary. Described as white with short dark hair, Grzyb was last seen wearing a navy T-shirt and navy shorts.

Merseyside Police issued a statement appealing for information to locate the fugitive and ensure his swift return to custody. T/Inspector Bethan Hannon emphasized the importance of public cooperation in reporting any sightings of Grzyb to aid in his apprehension.
