“Russian Amazon: Wildberries Logistics Center Hit in Ukraine Drone Attack”

Another significant logistics center belonging to Wildberries, often dubbed as Russia’s Amazon, was obliterated today in a substantial Ukrainian drone attack. The assault targeted Ryazan, located 115 miles southeast of Moscow, where it also triggered a major oil refinery already in a severely damaged state from previous strikes.

Drones struck the strategic port of Taganrog on the Sea of Azov in southern Russia, resulting in a casualty. Additionally, fires broke out in Kerch near the Crimean end of the vital bridge linking the Black Sea peninsula to Russia.

The Ukrainian offensive unfolded shortly after a meeting between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky in the US, during which they appeared amicable. Trump expressed satisfaction with the White House meeting, emphasizing the urgent need for enhanced air defense protection by the Ukrainians.

In the aftermath of the attack, thick black smoke billowed from the Wildberries warehouse, the fifth largest in Russia, prompting an evacuation order from the distribution center. This strike marked the 11th assault on Wildberries logistics facilities by Ukraine this month, resulting in severe damage or destruction to seven sites and incurring billions in financial losses. The most recent attack left six individuals injured.

Ukraine has alleged that the retail giant supplies the Russian military, leading Wildberries to urgently seek alternative warehouse locations in neighboring Kazakhstan to safeguard its operations threatened by the ongoing assaults.

Furthermore, the US Senate took a significant step by overwhelmingly approving stringent sanctions against the Putin regime, garnering 86 votes in favor. Zelensky, echoing Trump’s desire for peace, highlighted Putin’s reluctance to end the conflict, citing a push for a significant military mobilization that contradicts peace efforts.

As internal dissent against the war in Russia grows, Putin’s circle faces division on continuing or concluding the conflict. Amid these developments, Russian opposition is evident, with claims of a potential massive military draft to counter the substantial losses on the front lines.
