A man discovered the remains of five infants placed in cardboard boxes. The disturbing findings occurred at a residence in the Provence region of France on July 29. The identities of the man and his spouse are withheld for legal reasons.
Prior to the gruesome discovery, the couple had a dispute regarding the contents of the boxes shortly after the woman gave birth, despite her previous denial of pregnancy on three occasions. The woman experienced abdominal discomfort and sought medical attention while her husband stayed home.
