“Whitney Houston Estate Items Up for Bidding in LA”

Whitney Houston enthusiasts have a chance to bid on 54 items from the late star’s estate at an upcoming auction in Los Angeles. The auction, hosted by the prestigious Julien’s Auctions, will feature a variety of items including fur coats, designer costumes, jewelry, luggage, and personal belongings such as a stage stool and a gold-plated social security card.

The auction is set to raise funds for US youth programs through the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation. Pat Houston, the executor of Whitney Houston’s estate, expressed excitement about the unique memorabilia available for bidding.

Whitney Houston, who signed with Arista Records at 19, achieved great success with albums like “Whitney Houston” and “Whitney.” Fans will have the opportunity to bid on iconic pieces such as outfits worn during her tours and performances, including a scarlet Versace leather suit and an embellished jacket from her Moment of Truth tour.

Mozell Miley-Bailey from Julien’s Auctions highlighted Whitney Houston’s lasting impact on music and culture, describing her as a transcendent artist who reshaped R&B and set new standards for vocalists.

The auction will also feature a range of items, including a fuschia ruffled mini dress worn at the American Music Awards, a platinum award for her hit single “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” and personal belongings like a three-piece MCM luggage set and a tea set.

With numerous valuable items up for bidding, fans will have the chance to own a piece of Whitney Houston’s legacy. The auction coincides with what would have been Whitney’s 63rd birthday and leads up to the Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation’s Legacy of Love Gala in Atlanta.
