Iran Condemns Ukrainian Assault on Ship

Iran has reported the death of a crew member in a Ukrainian assault on an Iranian commercial ship in the Caspian Sea. The Iranian foreign ministry strongly denounced the attack, labeling it as an act of aggression that could escalate tensions. The ministry warned that Iran would defend its national interests without hesitation.

Accusing Ukraine of displaying a hostile stance towards Iran, the Iranian government condemned the alleged attack as an international violation seeking to escalate conflict. Ukrainian President Zelensky acknowledged the strike on vessels transporting military cargo between Iran and Russia in the Caspian Sea.

In a separate development, President Trump cautioned China and Russia against supplying weapons to Iran, stating that it would not be in their best interests. Zelensky pledged to share intelligence on Russia’s support for Iran and highlighted Russian satellite surveillance of strategic locations, pointing to a link between the surveillance and subsequent Iranian actions.
