“Tragic Accident Claims Son and Grandmother”

A tragic incident has torn a family apart as a grandmother lost her life in a car accident while on her way to identify her son’s body. The father of three, Andrew Tinsley, aged 46, tragically passed away in the River Dee in Llangollen, North Wales, on July 10. His mother, Carol Tinsley, aged 70, along with her ex-partner and three children, were traveling from West Derby, Liverpool, to Wrexham Maelor Hospital for the identification when they were involved in a fatal crash in Chester. Carol, a grandmother of six, lost her life at the scene.

Lisa, Andrew’s niece, was speaking with one of her cousins on the phone during the collision, which occurred around 11:30 pm on Parkgate Road. The family was left in shock and disbelief by the sudden turn of events. Andrew’s demise was confirmed after a search by North Wales Police in the River Dee.

Carol, who was a vibrant and sociable person, along with the rest of the family, was devastated by the loss. The family is now grappling with the aftermath, including funeral arrangements and coping with the emotional turmoil caused by the tragic events. In a heartfelt gesture, Lisa’s daughter, Derrie, has initiated an online fundraiser to raise funds for a joint funeral for Carol and Andrew. The aim is to ease the financial burden on the family during this challenging time.

The family is deeply grateful for any support they receive, as they navigate this difficult period together. The community’s assistance in coming together to honor and remember their loved ones is a source of comfort amidst the grief and loss they are experiencing.
