A model scout from France and Sweden, Daniel Siad, connected to the notorious financier Jeffrey Epstein, has been discovered deceased near Paris. Siad, aged 69, was found at his residence, as confirmed by the Nanterre prosecutor’s office. The accusations against Siad involved allegations of assisting Epstein in the trafficking and exploitation of women.
Following the declassification of Epstein files by the US Department of Justice in late January, Siad faced five rape charges, with his name appearing in over 1,000 documents. An investigation into the circumstances of his death was initiated by the prosecutor’s office upon the discovery, with an autopsy planned as part of the inquiry.
Although Siad had not been formally interrogated by authorities, he refuted the allegations, expressing his desire to present his side of the story. In a correspondence with Epstein in July 2014, Siad likened his recruitment efforts to fishing, stating, “In This busyness I feel like fisherman some time I cache quick, some time no fish.”
Siad detailed his recruitment activities in an exchange with Epstein, mentioning individuals from various nationalities. He expressed frustration with Epstein failing to attend a scheduled meeting, to which Epstein responded promising reimbursement for any expenses. Siad maintained that Epstein had abused his trust.
In a separate incident, Jean-Luc Brunel, a modeling agent, was arrested by French authorities in 2020 on allegations of procuring women for Epstein. Brunel was later found deceased in prison in 2022, while Epstein also passed away in prison in 2019 awaiting trial for sex trafficking.
