A 16-year-old boy, known as Tomiwa, tragically passed away after encountering difficulties while swimming in a lake. He was rescued from Swanholme Lakes in Lincoln and taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries on July 9 at 8:50 pm, three hours after being pulled from the water.
His family, through a statement released by Lincolnshire Police, described Tomiwa as a vibrant and unforgettable young man whose presence brightened every room he entered. He was hailed for his leadership qualities, his caring nature towards his younger brothers, and his disciplined and purposeful way of life.
Tomiwa was known for his punctuality, dedication to his activities such as school, football, and church, and his meticulous personal grooming habits. He had a natural ability to make friends easily, always seeking to bring positivity and joy to those around him.
A dedicated student with a passion for football, Tomiwa played for Greenbank FC and Lincoln City FC, showcasing his commitment and determination on the field. His strong faith in God was evident through his active participation in church activities and service to others.
Despite his untimely passing, Tomiwa leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and compassion that has deeply impacted those who knew him.
