“GP Surgery Tragedy: Woman Collapses, Dies After Days-Long Wait”

A tragic incident unfolded at a GP surgery in Llanyravon, Wales, where Jacqueline Watkins, 66, collapsed and passed away after waiting for days to secure an appointment. Jacqueline had been feeling unwell and sought medical help, eventually getting an appointment on June 18. However, upon arriving at the surgery, she collapsed in the waiting room despite efforts to save her.

Concerns have been raised by Jacqueline’s family regarding the care she received from the GP, suggesting there may have been missed opportunities in her treatment. Following her death, an inquest was opened at Gwent Coroners’ Court, with a post-mortem examination conducted. The full inquest is scheduled for March next year to investigate the circumstances surrounding her passing.

Donna Evans, Jacqueline’s daughter, expressed her deep sadness over the sudden loss of her mother in a heartfelt Facebook post, highlighting Jacqueline’s lifelong connection to Llanyravon and the impact of her unexpected departure on the family. Friends and acquaintances also paid their respects, recalling fond memories of Jacqueline and expressing sympathy for the family during this difficult time.

As further investigations are underway, the hearing has been adjourned to gather more information on the events leading to Jacqueline’s tragic demise.
