“Two Lucky Winners Claim £1 Million Each in Premium Bond Jackpot”

In the latest update from NS&I, the Premium Bond results for July 2026 have been revealed, bringing good fortune to two individuals who have each won £1 million. The first fortunate winner hails from Reading, holding £49,931 in Premium Bonds, just shy of the maximum limit of £50,000. Their winning bond number, 250TP871786, was acquired in July 2015. The second £1 million winner resides in Warwickshire with £14,000 invested in Premium Bonds, having purchased the winning bond number 217AV429216 back in January 2014.

Premium Bonds, a savings product offered by NS&I with government backing, operates on a unique model where instead of earning interest, participants are entered into monthly prize draws. The scheme features a range of prizes, with the smallest being £25 and the largest jackpot hitting £1 million. While there are only two £1 million prizes, numerous smaller prizes are distributed each month, predominantly consisting of £25 rewards.

Participants can hold a maximum of £50,000 in Premium Bonds, with each pound invested corresponding to a distinct bond number. New Premium Bond acquisitions must be held for a full calendar month before eligibility for the monthly draw. The odds of winning have improved this month, with a ratio of 22,000 to 1 for every £1 bond, and the prize fund rate has been raised from 3.3% to 3.8%.

NS&I anticipates an additional 322,000 prizes to be awarded monthly, with the prize pool expanding by over £60 million. Despite this, the number of £1 million prizes remains fixed at two. Winners are notified via email or text message by NS&I and can opt to receive their prize as a bank payment or reinvest it in Premium Bonds. To check for winnings, individuals can utilize the NS&I online prize checker tool or the Premium Bonds prize checker app, catering to the 22 million current Premium Bonds holders.
