Explosion in Monaco Leaves Three Injured, Suspect Fleeing

An explosion in Monaco this evening has resulted in likely casualties. Authorities are searching for a suspect who was captured on CCTV discarding a backpack on Rue du Révérend Père Louis Frolla. The incident, deemed as an attack, happened around 9pm, leaving three people injured, two of them with severe wounds.

The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot towards Beausoleil. Reports indicate that a man left two bags outside the building before the detonation occurred. The blast took place in a residential complex on Rue du Révérend Père Louis Frolla. Firefighters, including a team from the Alpes-Maritimes region, are on-site providing assistance.

The local government has labeled the incident as a deliberate act. Eric Ciotti, Mayor of Nice, expressed condolences for the victims, their families, and the people of Monaco, emphasizing solidarity with the security forces and emergency responders.
