Emma Raducanu Withdraws from Wimbledon Due to Stress Fracture

Emma Raducanu has made the tough decision to withdraw from competing at Wimbledon this year due to a stress fracture. The British No 1 had been managing a leg injury and had hoped to participate in the tournament, but she ultimately confirmed her withdrawal just before the championships began.

In an Instagram post, Raducanu expressed her disappointment, stating that despite her efforts, a final scan revealed that her injury had progressed to a stress fracture, leading to medical advice to halt her participation. She expressed her gratitude for the support she has received and shared her disappointment at missing the opportunity to play in front of a home crowd at Wimbledon.

Raducanu, who was seeded 30th, was set to play Antonia Ruzic in her Wimbledon opener. Despite a recent strong performance at Queen’s Club, where she reached the final but was defeated by Donna Vekic, injuries continue to be a challenge for the 23-year-old. Unfortunately, she will have to miss out on competing in her home Grand Slam event.

Looking ahead, Wimbledon 2026 is on the horizon, and Seat Unique is currently offering tickets with VIP access.
