After being forced out of his residence by the local council, Caesar, a 4ft fiberglass gorilla, faced an uncertain future. However, he has found a new home and gained popularity as a viral sensation. Caesar has been welcomed by the long-haul travel experts at Flight Centre and is now showcased at their South Molton Street store in London.
Previously displayed proudly at a house in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, by owner Adele Teale, Caesar had to be relocated due to a lack of planning permission after a complaint from someone in the area. He took an unconventional route to his new abode, making stops at iconic London landmarks like Big Ben, Downing Street, and Piccadilly Circus.
Flight Centre’s General Manager, Joe Beevis, expressed delight in providing Caesar a new sanctuary, emphasizing the importance of sustainable tourism in preserving wildlife habitats and local communities. Caesar’s transition from Wakefield to London was carefully managed, ensuring his well-being throughout the journey.
Adele Teale, Caesar’s devoted owner for over 20 years, shared her contentment with his new arrangement in London, affirming her confidence in Flight Centre’s commitment to animal welfare. Fans of Caesar can now visit him at Flight Centre’s South Molton Street store in Mayfair, where he is settling in comfortably.
To celebrate Caesar’s arrival, Flight Centre is offering a 10% discount on selected Africa Tours with Intrepid Travel for a limited time. For more information, visit Flight Centre’s website.
