“Royal Wedding: Lady Marina Windsor Marries Nico Macauley”

Lady Marina Windsor has recently exchanged vows with account executive Nico Macauley in a picturesque church ceremony, marking the second royal wedding of the year. Lady Marina, the granddaughter of the 90-year-old Duke of Kent and a second cousin once removed to King Charles, has been a familiar face at numerous high-profile royal gatherings. The intimate ceremony and reception, held in North Yorkshire at the late Duchess of Kent’s family home, were attended by close family and friends of the couple.

The bride looked stunning in a custom wedding gown by designer Larissa Von Planta, complemented by a veil fashioned from antique Hapsburg lace and a historic tiara passed down from her great-grandmother, Princess Marina of Greece and Denmark. Noteworthy guests included Princess Alexandra’s granddaughter, Flora Vesterberg, along with Lady Gabriella Windsor and Lady Marina’s grandfather, the Duke of Kent.

Lady Marina’s engagement to Nico Macauley was announced a year ago, with the couple dating for two years prior to the proposal. Born in Cambridge in 1992, Lady Marina, formerly 25th in line to the throne, relinquished her succession rights in 2008 after converting to the Roman Catholic Church. The wedding took place at All Saints Church in Hovingham, followed by a reception at the family estate in North Yorkshire.

In addition to Lady Marina’s nuptials, this year also saw the marriage of Princess Anne’s son, Peter Phillips, to NHS nurse Harriet Sperling in Cirencester. Notable attendees at the ceremony included members of the royal family.
