“Child Murderer Ambushed and Fatally Stabbed in Prison Cell”

Newly released CCTV footage has captured a disturbing moment where a child murderer appears anxious as he is followed into his prison cell by three convicted killers. Kyle Bevan, 33, who was incarcerated at HMP Wakefield, known as “Monster Mansion,” for the brutal killing of his two-year-old stepdaughter, was ambushed by fellow inmates.

The footage reveals Mark “The Iceman” Fellows, Lee Newell, and David Taylor, all convicted murderers, stalking Bevan and entering his cell, where they proceeded to stab him 25 times. Following the attack, the assailants arranged Bevan in bed to make it seem like he was asleep. Unfortunately, he was only discovered deceased during a roll call the next day, having been dead for hours.

Fellows, along with Taylor and Newell, received whole life orders after a hearing at Leeds Crown Court. The trio conspired to murder Bevan, who was serving a life sentence for the murder of two-year-old Lola James in Wales. The Crown Prosecution Service released footage showing the killers laughing before the heinous act, with Fellows seen wearing blue gloves.

The court learned that Fellows had earned nicknames such as ‘The Iceman’ and ‘Wakefield Dexter’ from other inmates. Newell was already serving a life sentence for murdering his neighbor, Mary Neal, while Taylor confessed to the murder of Alisha Apostoloff-Boyarin, whose body was never found.

Prosecutors revealed that the attackers targeted specific inmates, including sex offenders and those convicted of crimes against children, indicating a possible motive for seeking a transfer from HMP Wakefield. Searches of their cells uncovered items stained with Bevan’s blood, including makeshift weapons.

During the trial, it was established that the three men collaborated to harm Bevan, resulting in his death. Mrs. Justice McGowan remarked that the assailants brought weapons into the cell, cornered Bevan, restrained him, and fatally stabbed him. West Yorkshire Police condemned the premeditated attack, emphasizing the disregard for life and safety regulations in prisons.

Chief Inspector James Entwistle stated that the verdict ensures accountability for the dangerous individuals, emphasizing the importance of maintaining safety and order within correctional facilities.
