“Partner of Deceased Citibank Executive Apprehended Abroad”

After evading authorities for over a year, the partner of a senior Citibank executive, who was discovered deceased in her London residence, has been apprehended.

Marianne Kilonzi, aged 43 and holding the position of vice president in trade and working capital sales at Citibank, was found lifeless in her Woolwich residence on January 17 of the previous year.

Brian Kiprop Kipglagat, the individual pursued internationally for 16 months, was apprehended by immigration officials on June 10 while trying to cross into Tanzania from Namanga, a border town in southern Kenya. He is now set to be extradited to the UK regarding the incident.

Kipglagat was attempting to enter Tanzania with a temporary permit, but his movements were being monitored by undercover officers in Kenya under the request of UK law enforcement.

The Metropolitan Police were summoned to Ms. Kilonzi’s residence following concerns about her well-being.

The post-mortem examination revealed that blunt force trauma and head injuries caused her demise.

Authorities stated that they suspected Ms. Kilonzi was acquainted with her assailant and were exploring the possibility that the suspect had fled the country.

In response to her passing, a spokesperson from Citibank expressed profound sorrow, stating, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague. Our thoughts are with Marianne’s family and friends during this difficult time.”

Kenyan prosecutors are reportedly awaiting a formal extradition request from UK authorities.
