A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after being attacked with a knife in broad daylight on a busy street. The incident occurred on Ilford Lane in Ilford around 4.55 pm on Saturday. Following the attack, a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in police custody.
Police closed off Ilford Lane for over 24 hours, from A118 Winston Way to Grange Road, to gather evidence at the crime scene. Investigators are asking any witnesses to the stabbing to come forward. The victim was quickly taken to a major trauma center by paramedics.
Authorities are appealing for information, urging anyone who saw the incident to contact them. The London Ambulance Service responded to the scene promptly and provided emergency medical care before transporting the teenager to a major trauma center for further treatment.
