Guilty Plea in Portsmouth Mother’s Murder

A man, identified as Charlie James Jeans, aged 31, has admitted to the killing of Samantha Murphy, a 32-year-old mother of three, who was discovered deceased in her residence on Wadham Road in Portsmouth. Police were alerted to the situation and subsequently launched a murder investigation, leading to the apprehension of two suspects. Jeans, residing on Margate Road in Southsea, changed his plea to guilty during his trial proceedings. He is now awaiting sentencing, scheduled for June 17, at Portsmouth Crown Court.
