Eyewitnesses in Brazil have recounted the aftermath of a tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of six individuals, including musician Oliver Tree. The fatal incident occurred in Rio De Janeiro, where two helicopters collided mid-air, resulting in the demise of all onboard.
According to Rio de Janeiro’s Military Fire Department, one of the helicopters crashed into a car dealership’s parking lot, causing a fire that was swiftly extinguished. The area had several electric vehicles parked at the time of the crash. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the collision.
A witness, Fernandes de Freitas, who works as a tire repairer, described seeing one of the helicopters engulfed in flames after the collision. He also observed a passenger jumping out of the other helicopter before it crashed to the ground, describing the scene as “terrifying” and “absolutely horrifying.”
Gaspar Prim Díaz, a content creator known as Gaspi, was identified as one of the individuals involved in the tragedy. With over 2.8 million followers on YouTube, Gaspi was only 23 years old. Tributes poured in for Gaspi, with the Argentine streaming channel Blender expressing gratitude for his artistry and sensitivity.
The Brazilian Air Force confirmed that the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (CENIPA) is investigating the incident involving two aircraft, registered as PP-MAC and PR-DJJ, in Rio de Janeiro. Qualified professionals are conducting an initial assessment to collect data, preserve evidence, and gather information essential for the investigation process.
