“Pentagon Lockdown: Hazardous Materials Incident”

Multiple floors of the Pentagon are currently under lockdown as a precautionary measure following a hazardous materials incident. Staff members have been evacuated from the affected areas, and a hazardous materials response team is conducting an investigation on floors two through five, which have been cordoned off.

Reports indicate that police personnel within the building have been seen wearing gas masks and chemical protective gear. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell has confirmed that an air quality issue was detected within the building, prompting the evacuation until further details are clarified.

Standard protection protocols, including a shelter-in-place order, have been implemented for the affected region. Response teams are on standby to assist occupants within the building. The security team at the Pentagon has communicated that additional air quality testing is required, which may take one to two hours.

Multiple agencies are actively involved in responding to the incident, including a hazardous materials response team and the Arlington County Fire Department. Precautionary measures are being carried out in the center courtyard, and occupants are advised not to misinterpret these activities.
