Jeffrey Epstein’s former personal assistant, Sarah Kellen, has stated that Ghislaine Maxwell played a significant role in shaping Epstein into the “monster” he became. Kellen, who accused Epstein of raping her regularly, revealed that Maxwell facilitated his abusive behavior by fulfilling his every desire. In recent testimony, Kellen disclosed attending events with Epstein, including a dinner at Buckingham Palace and Princess Beatrice’s 18th birthday party at Windsor Castle.
Discussing Epstein’s relationship with Maxwell, Kellen expressed her belief that Maxwell contributed to Epstein’s transformation, describing how Maxwell indulged his every whim. Kellen worked as Epstein’s assistant from 2001 for over a decade and was implicated as a key recruiter of young girls in Epstein’s criminal activities.
Despite being labeled as one of Epstein’s potential co-conspirators, Kellen refuted claims of being a high-ranking associate, stating she was coerced into Epstein’s circle by another woman. She detailed enduring weekly assaults from Epstein and rejected the notion of being his “lieutenant,” emphasizing the abusive nature of her relationship with him.
A transcript of Kellen’s recent testimony was released by the House Oversight Committee, shedding light on Epstein’s activities and ongoing investigations. Kellen condemned Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for her involvement in Epstein’s trafficking schemes, advocating against her potential pardon.
Kellen described both Epstein and Maxwell as despicable individuals, with Epstein displaying erratic behavior akin to “Jekyll and Hyde.” She recounted witnessing Maxwell’s vulnerability and the verbal abuse she endured from Maxwell, highlighting the toxic environment within Epstein’s circle.
Moreover, Kellen mentioned encounters with prominent figures like Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, recalling interactions with them at various events. Notably, photos from Princess Beatrice’s party in 2006 depicted Epstein, Maxwell, and Harvey Weinstein together, with Prince Andrew present despite an active US arrest warrant against Epstein.
During his 2019 BBC Newsnight interview, Prince Andrew addressed his attendance at the party, claiming ignorance of Epstein’s legal troubles at the time. Shortly after the event, Epstein was arrested in Florida, further intensifying the scrutiny on his criminal activities.
Kellen clarified that she never witnessed inappropriate behavior from Prince Andrew and emphasized that he was not among the men involved in her assaults, excluding Epstein. She also shared an incident where Maxwell presented a book about her late father to Castro, showcasing Maxwell’s manipulative tactics within their social circle.
Having grown up as a Jehovah’s Witness and later transitioning to working for Epstein after a tumultuous early marriage, Kellen’s testimony sheds light on the intricate dynamics within Epstein’s inner circle. With Epstein’s demise in 2019 and Maxwell’s subsequent imprisonment in 2021, the repercussions of their illicit activities continue to unfold.
