A male British traveler recounts an alarming incident where he was apparently drugged, assaulted, and robbed of £1,800 while journeying solo overseas. Jamie Lathan, a 36-year-old rigger hailing from England, narrates that the distressing events transpired following a night out at a nightclub.

Lathan alleges encountering an Indonesian woman at the club who bought him multiple drinks, leading to him feeling unwell. Suspecting his drinks were spiked, he recalls being struck and then escorted outside where others were waiting. According to him, the woman convinced him to ride pillion on a motorcycle and transported him to her residence.

Describing the disorienting experience, Lathan expressed awakening fully clothed at his place, discovering the theft of £1,800 from his bag. He approximates losing consciousness for about four hours before regaining awareness feeling disoriented and ill.

Expressing his dismay, Lathan lamented the helplessness of the situation, emphasizing the impact of the alleged drugging. The incident reportedly occurred on May 9 in Bali, prompting Lathan to seek medical attention the following day for two head wounds that necessitated a total of 23 stitches.

Despite not involving the authorities, Lathan returned to the club seeking CCTV footage, which he claims the staff declined to provide. Allegedly receiving no assistance, Lathan voices his disappointment at the lack of response in the aftermath.

Reflecting on the aftermath, Lathan expressed the adverse effect on his confidence in future solo travels, highlighting the concern and worry his family and friends back home experienced upon learning about the distressing episode.
