“Fire at London Residence Brings 60 Firefighters”

A fire broke out at a residence in London, prompting the response of eight fire engines and approximately 60 firefighters to combat the flames. The incident occurred at a mid-terraced house in Knollmead, Tolworth, where the roof of the building caught fire, as confirmed by the London Fire Brigade. Various fire crews from neighboring stations were dispatched to the scene following the initial report received at 3:47 pm.

According to a statement from the London Fire Brigade, the emergency response involved eight fire engines and 60 firefighters attending the fire at Knollmead, Tolworth. The blaze originated in a two-story mid-terraced house, with part of the roof ablaze during the peak of the incident. To address the situation, a 32-meter ladder from the Brigade was utilized. Firefighters managed to bring the situation under control by 5:11 pm, with assistance provided by crews from Surbiton, Sutton, New Malden, and other nearby fire stations.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the London Fire Brigade’s Fire Investigation Team. The incident was reported to be contained by 5:11 pm.

The fire occurred at a mid-terraced property on Knollmead, a residential street in Tolworth within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, known for its association with Knollmead Primary School. Firefighters noted that the roof of the house was the focal point of the fire.

The London Fire Brigade has not determined the cause of the fire yet. Upon arrival, the fire crews found a section of the building’s roof engulfed in flames, necessitating the deployment of a 32-meter ladder as part of their response.
