“Serial Killer Suspect Charged in Cold Case Murder”

A man accused of the murder of 17-year-old Victoria Hall more than 25 years ago has a history of convictions for killing five other women, recent reports reveal.

Victoria Hall, a resident of Trimley St Mary in Suffolk, went to the Bandbox nightclub in Felixstowe with a friend on the evening of September 18, 1999, and tragically never returned home. Her body was found five days later in a ditch in Creeting St Peter, approximately 25 miles away from where she was last seen.

Steve Wright, aged 66 and previously residing on London Road, Ipswich, has been formally charged with the abduction and murder of Victoria, along with an attempted abduction of another woman in Felixstowe. Wright has entered a plea of not guilty to these charges.

During a recent court session presided over by Mr. Justice Bennathan, it was decided that the jury for Wright’s upcoming trial at the Old Bailey could be informed about his past convictions for the murders of five other individuals.

The defendant, appearing via videolink from HMP Long Lartin during the pre-trial hearing on Wednesday, was remanded in custody in anticipation of his trial at the Old Bailey commencing on February 2.
