A young British man was tragically discovered deceased after going missing following a TwitchCon event held in the Netherlands. Bradley Passey, aged 21, was last sighted on May 30 outside the Munch nightclub on Maasboulevard around 2 am by his friends. He had participated in a gaming convention and was said to be lodging at a hostel in the Overblaak Cube Houses vicinity but did not return after the night out.
Concern arose within Bradley’s family when he failed to board his return flight last Monday without any communication. Family members journeyed to Rotterdam where local authorities initiated an extensive search effort, posting his images and making inquiries about potential footage of him.
Subsequently, Bradley’s sister, Amy, shared on Facebook the heartbreaking news that they had been informed of his drowning in the River Maas. She expressed their unexpected sorrow and gratitude for the support received, urging continued assistance through shares and donations on their GoFundMe page as the family’s stay in Rotterdam was uncertain.
Throughout the search operation, a spokesperson from the Rotterdam Police communicated that despite intensive efforts, no significant leads had been discovered at that time. Moreover, a representative from the Foreign Office affirmed their assistance to Bradley’s family and coordination with the local authorities during this tragic incident.
