Barry Manilow Shares Health Update After Lung Surgery
Singer Barry Manilow, aged 82, recently underwent surgery to remove a cancerous spot from his lung. Providing a glimpse into his recovery, he reassured fans with a social media post stating he was feeling better. His colleague, Melanie Taylor, expressed support and admiration for his strength.
Manilow disclosed that the diagnosis came after a period of bronchitis and subsequent medical follow-ups. Fortunately, the cancer was detected early, prompting the need for surgery. Doctors are optimistic that the cancer has not spread, eliminating the necessity for chemotherapy or radiation treatment post-surgery.
Due to the operation, Manilow has canceled upcoming concerts in January to allow for a month of recovery. He remains positive, looking forward to a healthy recuperation with the support of loved ones.
