“Apple Releases Crucial Update to Fix iPhone Wireless Charging Issue”

Apple has rolled out a crucial update for new iPhone owners to address a wireless charging issue affecting some users. The glitch has been limiting charging options to MagSafe wireless refilling for impacted devices. Although Apple notes that only a small group of users have experienced this problem, it is recommended for all users to ensure their devices are updated.

The update is particularly essential for iPhone 17 series, including the Pro and Pro Max models, as well as the iPhone Air. Apple has clarified that the update resolves a specific issue that hinders wired charging on these models when the battery is nearly depleted.

To update the device, users can simply navigate to Settings, select General, and then tap on Software Update. The update, labeled iOS 26.5.1, can be installed immediately by tapping on “Update Now” or scheduled for nighttime installation. It is advised to connect to Wi-Fi or have unlimited mobile data due to the substantial 13.6GB file size.

In addition to this update, Apple enthusiasts can look forward to the upcoming WWDC Developers Conference starting on June 8, where the company is expected to unveil the new iOS 27 upgrade. This upgrade is anticipated to introduce a range of new features to iPhones, potentially enhancing their AI capabilities.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, expressed excitement for the upcoming WWDC event, emphasizing the celebration of technology, innovation, and collaboration within the global developer community. The event will be covered live by Mirror Online, with the WWDC event commencing at 6pm BST.
