A young boy from Calgary who was saved from drowning in a river in British Columbia is currently undergoing treatment in a hospital, with reports indicating severe damage to his lungs. Paul-Angelo Warren, aged nine, was involved in swimming and diving activities in the Shuswap River close to Enderby on August 3. Unfortunately, he failed to resurface after going underwater.
Maria Warren, his mother, mentioned that bystanders quickly came to his aid, pulling him out of the water shortly after he vanished. According to a statement from the RCMP, the boy was trapped against fallen trees by the river’s strong current before being rescued and receiving CPR upon reaching the shore. Authorities suspect that he might have been submerged for up to 10 minutes.
The child is currently receiving medical care at Vancouver Children’s Hospital, where his family remains by his side. Maria emphasized her constant presence beside her son, expressing her desire for him to see her and hear her voice the moment he regains consciousness.
