“UK Braces for Chilly Morning with Temperatures as Low as 7C”

Weather maps for the UK are indicating a dip in morning temperatures, possibly reaching as low as 7C in some areas, with around 40 locations expected to fall below 10C. The ECMWF weather model suggests that cooler conditions will prevail across the country later this week.

On Friday, August 7, regions in Scotland, England, and Wales could see temperatures drop as low as 7C at 6am. Scotland is anticipated to experience the coolest weather, with most parts of the country showing temperatures below 10C.

While conditions will be relatively warmer in southern areas, they will still be cooler compared to recent days. Places like Durham, Devon, and Warwickshire could all see temperatures below 10C on Friday morning.

The Met Office has issued a warning that following a wet period, conditions are expected to become drier from Thursday onwards. The forecast suggests a “rather changeable” weather pattern ahead, including cooler temperatures but with occasional sunny intervals.

The cold spell is projected to persist for a brief period, with morning temperatures potentially dropping to 7C on Tuesday, August 11 as well. According to the Met Office’s forecast for August 7 to August 16, the weather is likely to be changeable with periods of rain or showers, interspersed with drier intervals. Towards mid-August, higher pressure may dominate the north of the UK, leading to potentially more unsettled weather in southern regions.
